Day Program Volunteers interested in supporting persons with special needs
Cascadia, an urban Camphill community in North Vancouver, is looking for upbeat, enthusiastic, and reliable volunteers to support adults with special needs in our Day Program.
Day Program
We are looking for individuals with skills to share and a keen interest in crafts to support our friends with different abilities to be able to participate in our workshops. Cascadia offers skill development for persons with special needs in a variety of workshops, The Fiber Arts studio, Clay workshop, Candle workshop, Garden Workshop and our Home Skills program.
Volunteering in Cascadia includes actively supporting individuals or groups to take part in the activities offered. Successful candidates will have skills that compliment our workshops and will be supporting companions alongside coworkers and international interns. Volunteering in our program requires an ability to support companion participation in both craft and arts programs.
The Cascadia Day Program operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3pm. Volunteering in our Day Program offers an opportunity for developing long lasting friendships with our companions and coworkers, becoming part of our community, as well as learning, sharing, and engaging in a variety of crafts workshops.
The Cascadia Society Day Program is supported through Community Living funding. As such we are now required to comply with the PHO directive to provide proof of full vaccination or a valid exemption letter. To get a better sense of our community please explore our website.
